Dr. Ekkehart Steinhuber, CEO

Dr. Ekkehart Steinhuber has been the CEO of Innovacell AG since 2007. He spent 25 years at Sandoz at the executive and senior management level. His recent roles were CEO Hungary; Global Co-ordinator, Pandemic Preparedness; Divisional Director of Pharmaceuticals, responsible for development, production, logistics and quality assurance in Austria; and CEO at Sandoz Representative Office in Vietnam. Dr. Steinhuber earned his Ph.D. in business administration and studied at the universities of Innsbruck and Vienna.

Dr. Rainer Marksteiner, CSO

As one of the company founders, Dr. Rainer Marksteiner is the CSO of Innovacell Biotechnologie AG. He is in charge of Innovacell’s research program and product development since 2002. Previously, Dr. Marksteiner worked as a scientist at the Institute of Biochemical Pharmacology and at the Department of Dermatology, both at the University of Innsbruck. He received a Ph.D. with distinction in natural sciences in 1999 and studied microbiology at the University of Innsbruck. Dr. Marksteiner has published several scientific publications on cell biology. |
