Since 2006, Innovacell has been working on the development of ICEF15, an innovative cell- therapy analogous to ICES13, but aimed at the treatment of faecal incontinence.
In contrast to current therapies for faecal incontinence, which involve some degree of invasive surgery and among other things the implantation of medical, technical devices, the treatment with ICEF15 aims at functional, regenerative and natural improvement of the rectal sphincter.
The results of two clinical tests in Phase I/II have shown that ICEF15 holds great promise. After successfully completing the Phase I/II studies, Phase IIb began in October 2013 and was completed in 2016. This rapid rate of progress is attributable to the excellent amount of data and earlier experience that has been gathered.
